Nicknames!
Do you have any nn? My friends call me Lulu or Lu, some teachers do too haha Recently people have started to call me LuluLexy because my fn is Louise and my mn is Alexandra. Get it? And for some reason some girls from my old school call me Jim!?!?! :lol:

Not really (Kari is too short). I do get called Oompa because I'm so short though (no I don't even get the Loompa on the end).

My name is Michelle but my parents always call me Chells or Chellie (which is what everyone calls me).

LuluLexy is cute! It seems like everyone I know calls me something different. I'm Anastasie, Stace/Stas, Stacey/Stacy/Stacie, Stasia, AJ (my initials). And then I have some names which have nothing to do with my actual most (most derived from inside jokes) Shannon, Dolly, and Carebear. (Theres more but they aren't coming to me at the moment) DH has some pet names for me but they're nothing special, just whatever comes out, babe, sweets, sweetie are the most popular. I call him Bubby. That could've been a lot shorter but I seem to be very chatty tonight. :lol:

Anastasia , Do you a lot of people call you stacey? I love the name but I was wondering how hard it would be to avoid the nicknames.

Up until recently I never let people call me Stacey, I just didn't like it all that much. I had a few teachers try and call me that but I always corrected them. I think some people want to use a nickname because it's long but if you introduce her as Anastasia then you'll probably avoid nicknames (unless she wants one as she gets older).

I have tons of nns. My name is Catherine-my nn's are Cat, KitCat, Catalina, Catrina, Cathy, Kitty, Sassy Cathy & Then of course there are the ones that have absolutely nothing to do with my name, or ones that have to do with my last name. When I was a kid, some of my friends also called me Cadallac & Catamaran (name of a boat) :lol: I think the most annoying nns are nns that don't have anything to do with my name at all. My bf in his genius decided to start calling me riblit, as a joke-b/c of the story with Adam and Eve and how Eve was made from Adam's rib. So I get called Riblit now :x . Of course its my own fault, hes not big on nns I always thought it was odd that he never called me baby, sweetie or anything when we have been together so long, so I kept bugging him about it, so he came up with Riblit......errrrrrrrrrrrrrr, he also came up with Kitty too that he uses sometimes, which I don't mind that much..... :?

I am Alison, and the most common nn for me is Ali, which a lot of people call me, but my hubby doesn't for some reason. I've also been called Sony/Soni (Sunny), Alice/Alis (which I hate), Alicat, AliRoo (because my maiden name is Rhew), Kangaroo (for maiden), Al, and once in a while hubby calls me Butterschnuckems! LOL And, Babe. He often likes to pronounce Alison with a french accent - Ah-lee-sone... My dd Sabrina I call Brina, Bri (Bree), Brini, BriBri, Sabrini - she is NEVER Sab or Sabby! Her step sister calls he Na (nuh) because when she was little she could not say her full name. My sister used to call her Beana or Bean. My ds Cameron I call Cam, Cammy, CamCam, or Camerino. My mil calls him Cameo. Once in a while he's Cam the Man. Hubby is David and gets called Dave most of the time. I also call him Davey and Davey Crockett. His younger sister called him DayDay when she was a baby. His friends at work call him Super Dave!
